
In 1973, the Karaca family entered the sector with a business established under the name Karaca Züccaciye by Hüseyin Karaca in Istanbul Süleymaniye. They started by creating patterns on glass products in a small workshop with 30 workers.
In the 1990s, Karaca began producing porcelain abroad using kaolin sourced from Limoges, France, home to some of the world's highest quality porcelains. In 1994, under its own brand, Karaca started producing stainless steel pots and cutlery sets in Istanbul, becoming a sought-after brand for its high-quality products in both steel and porcelain. Leading global manufacturing companies also began producing under the Karaca brand during these years.

In 2001, Karaca opened its first retail store in Akmerkez Shopping Mall in Etiler, meeting with Karaca enthusiasts.

In 2007, with the Fine Bone series, the brand achieved exceptional transparency in porcelain dinnerware, encouraging customers to opt for transparent porcelain.

Continuing to grow every year, Karaca acquired Emsan, a rooted brand of pots and small kitchen appliances, in 2008.

In 2014, Karaca opened its first international store in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Also, in 2014, it initiated the granite era with Biogranit. Due to its durability, non-stick and non-burn features, and being a healthy material, granite became adapted across the entire sector. This innovation transformed cooking habits, elevating a product group to a category.

In 2016, after 4.5 years of research and development, the world's first dinner set made from real pearls, Fine Pearl, was introduced. With Fine Pearl, Karaca changed the material of dinner sets in Turkey and worldwide for the first time in about 250 years.

In 2018, it developed the Biodiamond product series, Turkey’s first non-stick and non-burn items made from diamonds and crystals.

In 2019, Karaca introduced the Powersteel and Powerstell-Pro series, a new generation of steel-based products that are much more durable and flexible than competitors’ products, thanks to a special steel type containing 18% chromium, 12% nickel, and 2% molybdenum.

Also in 2019, it launched Hatır, the first and only coffee machine capable of making five cups of Turkish coffee and five cups of filter coffee simultaneously.

Since its establishment in 2011, Pera Bulvarı has become one of the first companies that comes to mind when it comes to home decor, thanks to its design-focused approach, product selection, and brands. It joined Karaca Group in 2019, solidifying its position in the industry. Since July 2023, with its new brand identity and strategy, it has become the center of refined tastes. Pera Bulvarı is the official distributor of luxury design-focused global brands in Turkey, such as Alessi, Baci Milano, Guzzini, and Philippi.

In the 2020s, Karaca acquired Homend, a brand that combines fashion and design style with successful post-sale services.

In 2020, it also purchased Nautica Home, a sea-themed product collection inspired by the adventurous lifestyle, and introduced Çaysever Robotea tea machine for tea enthusiasts.
In 2021, Karaca introduced the 316+ Premium Cutlery Set, a new generation of stainless steel cutlery maximized for durability, scratch resistance, and corrosion resistance.

Weimar brand was also acquired during this period.

In 2021, it opened “container” stores based on a new concept.
In 2022, it changed cooking habits with Air Pro Cook, offering a superior air fryer experience. With a single touch, Air Pro Cook prepares healthy and delicious meals odorlessly and smokelessly. Designed for those who want to prepare meals practically and healthily, this new product includes functions like home cooking, grilling-oven, drying vegetables/fruits, heating, and yogurt making.
Preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2023, Karaca continues to increase the added value it creates for our country with innovations, investments in technology and innovation, and efforts to enhance its competitive strength.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Karaca introduced the Century of the Republic Collection inspired by Atatürk's belongings. Discovered during a 2-year research process, the GMK (Gazi Mustafa Kemal) logo, which Atatürk had engraved on his personal belongings, especially tableware, adorned each piece in the collection as it was used 100 years ago.

In 2024, Karaca introduced the world-renowned Danish retail brand Flying Tiger Copenhagen to the Turkish market. Known for its creative and affordable products, Flying Tiger Copenhagen opened its first store in Turkey at Kanyon AVM in Istanbul in October 2024, connecting with Turkish consumers. The brand offers a wide range of products, from home decor to stationery, toys to kitchenware, aiming to add color and innovation to the shopping experience. Through this collaboration, Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s unique designs are now available to Turkish customers.
